Home Again L.A. by the Numbers
Simple Stats = Huge Impact
Since opening our doors in 2010 Home Again L.A. has helped over 2,000 individuals mobilize from living on the streets or in their cars into permanent housing. We are just getting started!
OUR MISSION
To assist families experiencing homelessness in gaining independence by transitioning into permanent housing and employment, with the support of our community.
OUR FIVE CORE PROGRAMS
Shelter
Since opening our doors in 2010 we have operated a 90-day shelter for homeless families with children. The program works in partnership with local congregations as we focus on temporary shelter, meals, case management and housing.
Rapid Rehousing
The Rapid Rehousing program helps transition homeless families with children into permanent housing. Families are provided up to 12 months of rental subsidies. Then, our trained Case Managers work alongside families to set benchmarks that focus on stability.
Homeless Prevention
In partnership with local government agencies Home Again L.A. provides case management and rental assistances to families at-risk of homelessness.
Transitional Housing
In 2018 Home Again L.A. partnered with City of Burbank and Burbank Housing Corporation to open a transitional housing program, Jerry's Promise, to provide short term housing for homeless families.
Community Workshops
As part of our 2020 merger with fellow nonprofit homeless provider, Glendale Communitas Initiative, Home Again L.A. offers community workshops focused on job development, financial planning, and life skills.
WHO WE HELP
We assist homeless families with children return to permanent housing…this includes helping them find employment, increase annual housing income and attain housing.
LENGTH OF STAY
IN FPV
Our 90-day Shelter allows families up to 90 days of support. All other programs allow households to be supported for up to 12 months.
HOW MANY FAMILIES WE
SERVE
Home Again L.A. offers an array of programs and each program has it's own capacity. In regards to our 90-day shelter, we serve four families at any given time. All other programs range from 15-40 families.
SUCCESS RATE
Home Again L.A., since 2010 has assisted over 600 homeless families in securing permanent housing. In 2021, 604 families were provided assistance in securing housing and financial assistance.

Home Again L.A. (HALA) is a non-profit homeless service agency with offices in Burbank and Glendale. Since 2010, HALA has offered an array of services focused on our five core programs: Shelter, Homeless Prevention, Rapid Rehousing, Community Workshops and Transitional Housing. In 2017, HALA began partnerships with the cities of Glendale and Burbank to implement rapid rehousing programs. Then in 2019, in partnership with the Burbank Housing Corporation and City of Burbank we opened our first Transitional Housing program called Jerry's Promise. Finally, in 2020 we merged with Glendale Communitas agency to facilitate prevention workshops. At the end of 2020 through all these services we supported over 600 households in our region.
