Crystal and her sweet four year old daughter have been homeless for over one year. Most of their time was spent living in motels and in crisis housing. The family of two became homeless after leaving a difficult living situation that was not healthy for neither individual. Four months ago the family was referred to Family Promise for supportive services. We immediately placed the family in a motel and began developing a strategic plan that ultimately led to Crystal securing an apartment with support from our city of Glendale Rapid Rehousing program. In some unfortunate news, Ms. Dodds recently found out that she has cancer, however, she states that her faith is keeping her positive. She is glad to be in a home where she can focus on her daughter and her own health. We look forward to provide resources to the family in an effort to bring stability.
